Farm Manager
(Full-Time)

Blue Goose has been growing quickly every season for the last four years, we are now currently on the search for a Full-Time Farm Manager to join our farm family.

Must have farming experience (ideally in a leadership-role) and are interested in farming as a career. A person with a passion for food, cooking, the outdoors and community is the ideal candidate. We cant wait to meet you!

desired skills & qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of full-time work in farming. Applicants should have a love of physical work (shoveling, wheelbarrowing, etc) outside in all kinds of weather. Farmers are endurance athletes.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills: we ask that the applicant have experience in leading and training others to be successful and confident as well as being open to personal feedback. We strongly value each farmer’s voice and impact on the farm.
  • Positivity. Patience. Flexibility. 
  • Relentless attention to detail. Thoroughness. An eye for both quality and efficiency.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • A love of plants, soil, and good food! Wonder and care for the living things we work with (and eat) are key to the farm’s success, as well as the level of investment and joy we find in this work.
  • Welcoming of community: in respect to who we are as individuals within the farm team, the family which lives on this land and our community which supports our farm store.

number of positions:

We are looking to add one Farm Manager to our Blue Goose family.

Start Date:

We are looking to start this position as soon as the growing season begins in early March 2025. End-date is negotiable for the ideal candidate.
