FAVOURITE PLACES TO GO A STONE'S THROW FROM THE FARM SHOP

Crystal Beach, Ridgeway, Fort Erie, Stevensville, Bertie Township, the Niagra region in general is near and dear to our hearts. Not only is it home to our farm and where we live it also is where we encourage those who haven't experienced our community to visit. If you find yourself considering a trip from afar, or are a neighbor who is looking for some inspo of how to get the most out of whats around them, here is our favorite way to spend a summer day!

Blue Goose Farm Shop

We can't NOT mention the number one place to fill up on veg for the week and items to inspire your next meal! Plus we have coffee! Visit us early to guarantee the best availability of produce and homemade treats! Don't forget to bring a cooler if you're coming from out of town to keep everything fresh in the car bwhile you meander around the area for the day!

Shaka Shakes

Start the morning off right with some healthy fuel from a local favorite Shaka Shakes. Located on Crystal Beach's popular street, they have an adjacent parking lot and lots of patio space. We suggest getting a shake to go and walking the strip of independent shops.

Crystal Beach

Popular on weekends with good reason, from the right angle you might mistake this lake for being the Caribean. Bay Beach specifically is known for its soft sand and clear, shallow waters, making it ideal for swimming and popular with families. Lots of amenities are close at hand which makes it an easy spot to head with little planning.

Fehrhaven Farm

If you are looking for local in season berries and fruit, this is the spot! A little stand at the end of the driveway of thier farm is set up with freshly harvested yields as well as jams and pies depending on the day. We suggest buying double as one never lasts beyond the car ride home.

Friday's Child

The area is full of great vintage and antique shops, so much so that we could start a whole other list! If the beach isn't your thing or the weather turns bad, we recommend taking a drive out to Fenwick to see what Friday's Child has in store. This very well curated shop comes from some of the most well dressed and talented people we know and we have yet to make a stop without taking something unique home.

Rizzo's House of Parm

You may think we are bias for mentioning our neighbors as the best restaurant in maybe the world, but a short google and you will see we are not alone. Highly recognized by both notable publications and the local community as an incredible dining experience, we have a hard time recommending what to order and instead suggest you bring as many people as you can and order it all! The food is standout but so is the staff, who always make us feel taken care of each and every time. If you are having a hard time getting a reservation we can personally attest to takeout holding up all the way back to Toronto or accross the Peace Bridge!

Waverly Beach

You might just find us here after work on a blanket with a Drink's Farm Soda in hand! This less-crowded spot offers beautiful views of the lake and the sunset and makes for a great place to close out the day.

Jazzy Scoops

A sweet treat is a must for us on a day off and if we haven't over indulged at Rizzo's we head to Jazzy Scoops for classic summer cones.

Worth mentioning:

Fenwick Market

The last weekend in May hosts one of our favorite makers markets of the year! This two day event held on a small family farm in Fenwick features 80+ local vendors selling handmade and vintage goods. The setting is the perfect way to kick off the summer in the grass and under the trees catching a (hopefully) warm breeze!
